Banana Cream Pie
A classic banana cream pie made with a homemade crust and a creamy banana filling.

Prepare and divide dough for bottom crusts.

Reconstitute milk, add sugar and salt; heat to just below boiling.

Combine cornstarch, sugar, water; stir until smooth.

Cook at medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

Stir about 1 quart of hot mixture into eggs.

Cook 2 minutes longer. Remove from heat.

Add butter or margarine and vanilla; stir until well blended.

Pour about 3 1/2 cups filling into each baked pie shell.

Ensure pies do not exceed 4 hours total in temperatures between 40 F to 140 F.

Cut 8 wedges per pie.
