Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a large mixing bowl, lightly beat the eggs.
Gradually add the canned pumpkin, sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves, mixing until smooth.
Slowly stir in the evaporated milk or light cream until well combined.
Pour the pumpkin mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for about 45 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before serving.
